The Weavers were over to celebrate Christmas over this past weekend. In so doing, of course, we had a full evening to enjoy a Mario (Christmas) Party!
John proved to be a good boy in Game One as we ventured through Windmill Central (and learned that 10 rounds is just not enough; rule change implemented: 15 rolls through the Netherlands!). John scored the path to the three-star windwill and took the game with six stars.
Game Two was an entirely different story. And yes, John won. But this had nothing to do with JW's actions this year! In fact, the match game down to this. If Amy's character OR if the computer won the final star, she would have been champ. Had Todd won the final star, he would have been champ. Same, had JW won, he would have taken the match.
That bloody final star... turns out it was the shopping star. JW and I TIED in what we spent during the round so it came down to coins. JW: 4. TM: 0. ARRRRRRRGHHHHHH!

Mario Party Revisited!
In spite of JW and Amy now being married and Mario Parties seemlingly ending as we know it, we forged ahead in the face of this dry spell and played Mario Party last night! Once again, JW dominated. While TM dominated Game One, random bonus stars put JW on top of the Tower of Mario Party Power:
In a desire to have a rematch, Amy and Todd decided to take JW on again, this time in the Dutch world of bidding on windmills.
JW kicked even more Mario Party butt in the second match, garnering six (6) stars by bidding only -- not even to mention bonus stars! The rest of the competitors won three, three and one star, respectively -- before bonus stars were even awarded.
Interestingly, for the first time we saw a bonus star awarded to NO ONE! Literally, not one competitor landed on the Green Question Mark space, yet the system chose that as a bonus star. With that, not one player could have gotten all three stars even to tie JW and he walked away with the second win of the night.
Final Tally:
JW - 2
AW - 0
TM - 0
Good times altogether. And we finally Mario Partied after so much time!
